Students from West Bengal are demanding a postponement of the state-level joint entrance examination – WBJEE 2022 – because the dates conflict with their board exams.
WBJEE 2022 will take place on April 30, three days after the completion of West Bengal Class 12 Board Exams. WB 12th exams are scheduled from April 2 to 27.
WBJEE 2022 falls between ISC and CBSE Class 12 term 2 exams. ISC exams are scheduled from April 26 to June 13 and CBSE Class 12 term 2 exams will be held from April 26 to June 15.
Here’s what students say:
“We are facing a lot of problems because of the date of the WBJEE examination as the date conflicts with the ISC, CBSE and WB board exams. Please take action as soon as possible. We demand a deferment from WBBEE for 15 to 20 days, which is real. @MamataOfficial,” tweeted one student using #PostponeWBJEE2022.
“Postpone the wbjee exam, the ISC exam clashes directly with the wbjee exam dates. The exams of the board of Wbbse are coming up again on April 27, there is only 3 days left to prepare. In addition, there is a May 2 CBSe exam,” another added.
“Please postpone WBJEE for at least a week as we, the students, are having trouble dealing with the preparation of the wbjee and the boards at the same time. Please call on that. It’s a request @MamataOfficial #PostponeWBJEE2022,” tweeted Sm Mukherjee.
WBJEE 2022 has already been postponed once. The test was previously scheduled for April 23, 2022.
