UPSC CSE Result 2020: The final result of the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2020 has been released on Friday. 24 year old Jagriti Awasthi, who took the top and second overall in the women’s section in this exam, said that it was her childhood dream to become an IAS, but she fulfilled it with hard work and smart work.

Jagriti Awasthi, a resident of Bhopal, passed out from the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT). In 2016 he obtained his degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduation, he passed the GATE exam and joined BHEL as a technical officer. But in 2019, he decided to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming an ISS officer.

He started preparing for this by taking admission in a coaching institute in Delhi, but due to the corona epidemic and lockdown, he had to return to Bhopal. Jagriti said: “Korana and logging in became a hindrance for me, but it didn’t stop me. I came back and participated in online classes.”

“My father SC Awasthi is a homeopath and my brother Suyash Awasthi is a second year MBBS student. Both helped me to focus on my studies.”

“When I started the preparation, I studied for 8-10 hours. First appeared in 2019, but couldn’t even clear the prelims. I realized that in addition to hard work, there must also be smart work. With this in mind, I practiced lots of questions and now I’m glad I passed the UPSC exam in the second attempt.”

Jagriti attributes her success to her demanding Madhulata Awasthi who quit her job to help with her daughter’s studies.

He said his parents haven’t watched TV for the past 4 years, first they wanted the brother to pass the NEET exam so they don’t turn on the TV to study for consciousness. Jagriti’s mother was a school teacher, but she quit her job to continue Jagriti’s studies.
