UPSC 2022: Father used to work as a helper, today son is IAS officer, read story

The UPSC exam is one of the toughest exams, one has to work day and night to pass this exam. At the same time, today we are going to tell you about a person who became an IAS officer by achieving the 45th rank in this exam with his dedication and hard work. The name of this person is Anil Basak. Let’s know about them.

Anil was born in Kishanganj, Bihar. The family into which he was born belonged to the category below the poverty line. His father’s name is Binod Basak and his mother’s name is Manju Devi. He was born on August 2, 1995. Anil was educated from Oriental Public School, Kishanganj and completed class 10th of High School Auria Public School and 12th of Bal Mandir, Kishanganj. After graduating from class 12, he obtained a B.Tech degree in civil engineering from IIT Delhi.

Let us tell you, Anil’s father used to work as a helper for a businessman in Rajasthan. After working for a while, he came back to his village and started selling clothes from door to door. Then he started selling clothes in a small shop. From the beginning, the financial condition of Anil’s house was not good. Anil knew that only education could solve the situation in his house. After that, he always focused on his studies.

Anil wanted to work for the betterment of not only his family, but also the state. In the year 2017-18, he started teaching at a coaching institute in Delhi and preparing for the UPSC exam. He failed in his first attempt and even failed in the preliminaries, but he did not give up.

On his second attempt, Anil took 616th place, but he was not satisfied at all. He then had IT services. He continued his preparation and in his third attempt he achieved the 45th rank and became an IAS.

Let us tell you that Anil didn’t even have the money to pay the coaching center fees, but he managed his fees by working in the institute. Anil’s success is an inspiration to all those who complain about lack of resources in their lives. You always have what you need to be successful.
