UPMSP UP Board Class 10, 12 exams to begin today, check exam day guidelines

The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council will conduct the Classes 10 and 12 exams from March 24. The board had already released the exam schedule for class 10 and 12 on the official website – upmsp.edu.in.

According to the datasheet, the class 10 exams will be held between March 24 and April 9. Meanwhile, class 12 exams will be held between March 24 and April 12. A total of 8,373 exam centers have been established this year.

A control room in Lucknow will review footage from CCTV cameras installed in centers across the state to curb cheating during the UP school board exams starting March 24, officials said. The state-level control room was inaugurated here on Wednesday at the Secondary Education Directorate.

All exam centers will be closely monitored with help from staff and a total of 2,97,124 CCTV cameras, they said. The images from these cameras will be monitored at several command centers, including state-level and 75 district-level centers, officials said.

“The control room will receive direct images from the CCTV cameras installed in the exam centers and surveillance rooms across the state, which will be closely monitored by a team under the direct supervision of senior officials.

“The control room will be an essential tool in ensuring free and fair board examinations,” said the Chief Secretary. The state government has previously warned that the strict National Security Act (NSA) will be applied against those caught using unfair means during the exams.

A total of 51,92,689 students applied to participate in the UP board exams. Of those, 27,81,654 will take Class 10 exams, while 24,11,035 will appear for Class 12 exams.

Candidates who will appear for UP board class 10, 12 exams must adhere to the guidelines. The exams are taken in two shifts in the morning and in the evening. The morning shift is conducted from 8:00 AM to 11:15 AM and the evening shift exams are conducted from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM for both the 10th and 12th grade exams.

Students must be in the exam room at least one hour before the start of the exam and arrange travel. However, the state government has also instructed the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) to arrange special buses for candidates appearing for the board examinations.

All students are required to have a paper version of their admission ticket with them. Anyone who does not do so will not be allowed to participate in the exams. Students, employees and invigilators will have to follow the covid protocols and signs of wear at all times. † With input from PTI.
