The 2021 Written Exam for 9534 SI recruitment at UP Police was conducted in three stages from November 12, 2021 to December 2, 2021. Lakhs of candidates of the state had participated in this exam. Candidates who have passed the SI Recruitment written exam will be called for a physical efficiency test. Physical efficiency test will only qualify i.e. the grades will not add merit.

The UPPBPB Recruitment Board had responded to the allegations of manipulation
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPBPB or UPPRPB) Lucknow had dismissed the allegations of tampering in the recruitment inquiry of 9534 SI posts in UP Police as baseless. The UP Police Recruitment Board said the social media tweets using the hashtags UPSI2021SCAM (#UPSI2021SCAM) and UPSISCAM2021 (#upsiscam2021) are completely misleading. The board has asked the candidates not to believe in rumors and to check the recruitment agency’s website uppbpb.gov.in for official information.
UP Police SI Selection Process:
The candidates who qualify for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be called for medical according to the merit made on the basis of the marks obtained in the written exam. The list of provisionally selected candidates is drawn up on the basis of the vacancies on the basis of the marks obtained in the written exam.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
For men – 4.8km race to be completed in 28 minutes.
For women – 2.4 km race to be completed in 16 minutes.
