Republic Day Speech (Republic Day speech is as follows)
Respected chief guest, my teachers and my colleagues…
India today celebrates the 74th Republic Day. January 26 has been declared a national holiday. First of all, I want to tell you why Republic Day is celebrated. Actually, our country got its constitution on this day. The Constitution of India was implemented at 10:18 am on 26 January 1950. After the introduction of the constitution, our country India became a republic country. Six minutes later, at 10:24 AM, Rajendra Prasad was sworn in as India’s first president. On this day, Dr. Rajendra Prasad left the Rashtrapati Bhavan for the first time as president sitting on a buggy.

It is the constitution that binds together the people of all castes and classes of India. The Constitution of India is the largest written constitution in the world. It was completed in 2 years, 11 months and 18 days.

The day of January 26 was chosen to implement the constitution because on this day in 1930, at the Congress session, India was declared full Swaraj.

A grand Republic Day celebration is held in Rajpath on the occasion of the Republic Day. The president raises the tricolor flag. They receive a 21 gun salute, along with the national anthem and the raising of the flag. Important awards such as Ashoka Chakra and Kirti Chakra are given. India’s glimpse of unity in diversity can be seen in the tableaux that open onto the Rajpath. The parade includes contingents from all three armed forces of India – Navy, Army and Air Force and showcases the strength of the military.
It is not that this national celebration ends on January 26 with the raising of the flag by the President and closing of parades and scenes etc. The Republic Day celebration ends on January 29 with the ‘Beating Retreat’ ceremony .

Even after so many years of independence and implementation of the Constitution, India today faces problems such as crime, corruption, violence, naxalism, terrorism, poverty, unemployment and illiteracy. We must all unite and try to solve these problems. The dream of the freedom fighters will not come true until India is lifted out of these troubles. By making joint efforts, a better and developed India will be built.

With this I would like to conclude my speech.
Hail India
