
The PGDBA 2022 exam will be conducted on March 27, 2022. The exam will be conducted for admission into the two-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) course jointly offered by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta, Indian Institute of Statistics and IIT Kharagpur.
The application form for PGDBA 2022 is now available. According to the official information released by the institute, it will be a computer-based test. The exam is divided into four sections, namely: quantitative ability, data interpretation and data visualization, verbal ability, and logical reasoning. There will be a total of 50 multiple choice questions in the test.
The students are given a total of 3 hours to take the exam. The PGDBA 2022 exam pattern contains negative mark. 03 points are awarded for each correct answer and 01 points are deducted for each incorrect answer. The test is 150 points in total.
In the exam, all questions are asked from the PGDBA 2022 syllabus. In Verbal Skills, the questions are asked from Reading & Understanding, Grammar / Sentence Correction. Logical reasoning will have questions of Logical Connections, Statements and Conclusions, Agreement and Sequences. The Data Interpretation and Data Visualization section contains data-driven questions in the form of pie charts, graphs, and trends. The Quantitative Aptitude section contains questions from sets, algebra, calculus, maxima and minima, coordinate geometry, and Euclidean geometry.
After the computer-based exam, the candidates will be shortlisted for face-to-face interviews. The final admission is based on the performance in the admission test, personal interview, work experience and academic background.
To prepare for the PGDBA 2022 entrance exam, the candidates can follow the preparation tips below:
Create a timetable: It is recommended to make a timetable for only 15-20 days. Follow this and then change the timetable and plan for the next 15-20 days. It is also suggested that you take a printout of this timetable and tick the topics when they are ready.
Be consistent: Being consistent while preparing for the exam will help you pass the PGDBA 2022 entrance exam. So be regular with your preparation. Do not skip a day from this day until the exam day.
Please check the syllabus and exam pattern carefully: The first step is to review the exam syllabus and schedule your study time to cover all topics. One should also carefully review the analysis of previous years’ questions to identify the topics with the most common questions.
Choose good study material for the preparation of the verbal skills section: The only way to improve one’s performance in the Verbal Skills section, other than practicing from various books, is to read all the material you find interesting and available to you. One should read, read and read as much as possible. Getting into the habit of reading at least two good newspapers daily will prove to be very helpful in increasing the aspirant’s vocabulary.
Do mock exams: It is very important to solve the mock tests to analyze your strengths and weaknesses. After solving the mock tests, focus on eliminating the errors.
Solve last year’s questions: The candidates can benefit greatly from solving the previous year’s questions. So find the last 5 questions from last year and solve them. By doing this, you will be able to know what kind of questions are in the exam. Practicing with the questionnaires from previous years gives the candidate a sense of the actual exam and helps them estimate their current level of preparedness.
