
Professor Pandit has taught at renowned universities
Professor Pandit’s father was in the government service. Mother was a professor of Tamil and Telugu in the Eastern Faculty Department of Leningrad (now St. Petersburg). Professor Shantisree Dhulipudi Pandit who has more than 34 years of teaching experience has extended to Goa University, Osmania University, Rakshashakti University, Madras University except Pune University. She has also been involved in many important committees of the national government. Professor with excellent knowledge of international subjects played an important role in many research projects. He holds fellowship in many renowned institutes of the world. He has also been awarded many awards at national and international level.

M. Jagdish Kumar becomes the chairman of UGC
JNU Vice Chancellor M. Jagadesh Kumar has been appointed as the president of the UGC. According to an official from the Ministry of Education, the central government has appointed him for five years or until he turns 65. The post has been vacant since December 7 following the resignation of Professor DP Singh. Jagdish Kumar’s tenure as Vice Chancellor of JNU was full of controversy. Shortly after his appointment, the students organized a program against the hanging of the convicted Afzal Guru of the Parliament House attack.
