
Candidates can apply for NEET-UG 2022 from April 6 to May 6. The last date to apply for the fee is May 7. The application fee for general category candidates is Rs 1600. For candidates belonging to General-EWS/OBC-NCL category, the application fee is Rs 1500. Students belonging to SC/ST/PwBD/third gender category are required to pay Rs 900 as registration fee.
The duration of the exam is 200 minutes, or 3 hours and 20 minutes. The exam will be taken on 17 July in a single shift from 2 p.m. to 5:20 p.m.
The entrance test consists of 200 multiple choice questions (four options with one correct answer) from physics, chemistry and biology (botany and zoology). 50 questions in each topic are divided into two sections (A and B).
Candidates must ensure that the email address and mobile number provided in the online application form are their own or their parents/guardians’ alone as all information/communications will be sent by NTA via email to the registered email address or SMS to only the registered mobile number.
Candidates can also install the application ‘SANDES’ as a secondary channel to receive notifications from NTA from time to time. The ‘SANDES’ app can be downloaded and installed on a registered mobile device as follows:
- Visit the Google Play Store on your mobile device.
- Search for the “Sandes app” in the search bar.
- Then the app will appear in the Play Store.
- Click Install and the app will be downloaded to your mobile.
- Mobile users can now enjoy the services of the Sandes Mobile App
NEET-UG 2022 will take place in approximately 543 cities in India and 14 cities outside of India. The exam is conducted in 13 languages namely English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
