NEET-MDS 2022 likely to be postponed by 4-6 week: Health Ministry

The NEET-MDS 2022 could be delayed by four to six weeks and the date of completion of a mandatory rotating internship to qualify for admission to MDS courses could be set at July 31, 2022 instead of March 31, 2022, it said Union Ministry of Health and Family Care on Thursday.

“The competent authority has decided that the date for conducting the NEET-MDS study, 2022, may be postponed by 4-6 weeks and preferably around the same date as that for NEET-PG 2022: Ministry of Health and Family Welfare” the Ministry of Health said.

“It has been notified that the matter is under investigation in this Ministry and in order to ensure equality between NEET-MDS 2022 and NEET-PG 2022 examination, it has been decided by the competent authority that the date for conducting NEET-MDS examination may be 2022 postponed by 4-6 weeks and preferably around the same date as that for NEET-PG 2022,” the letter from the Ministry of Health reads.

The Ministry had previously received representation from the United Doctors Front Association for the extension of the NEET-MDS 2022 exam date by 4-6 weeks and to extend the date of completion of a mandatory rotating internship to qualify for admission into MDS- courses after March 31, 2022.
