The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur is inviting applications for its Post Graduate Diploma in Data Engineering and Cloud Computing. The application window for the program is open until March 11, 2022 and the first batch will start in the same month.
The program is offered in collaboration with WileyNXT. It is an intensive 12 month program with over 600 hours of learning and live online classes by the faculty of IIT Jodhpur. The program offers a total of 36 credits with 18 credits per semester.
With the right mix of theoretical and practical learning, the curriculum is strategically designed for IT, software and technology professionals aspiring to a fast-growing career in data engineering and cloud computing. A capstone project at the end of the program focuses on the experiential learning aspect. Candidates will also receive IIT Jodhpur alumni status upon the successful completion of the program.
The postgraduate diploma program also has a mandatory on-campus immersion session of 15 days per semester.
Gaurav Bhatnagar, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, IIT Jodhpur, said: “Today, one of the most demanded skills in the IT and tech industry is data engineering and cloud computing. However, we are seeing a major talent war between companies and organizations because of the lack of skilled workers.”
To enter this PG diploma program, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or science (4-year program) or a master’s degree in science, MCA or a similar discipline, with a minimum score of 50 percent / CGPA of 5.0 out of a scale of 10 and associated proportional requirements. In addition, the applicant must have a minimum of two years of work experience (after obtaining a bachelor’s degree) in industry, R&D labs or academic institutions.
