DU Dean Exam Prof. Hanit Gandhi told that for admission to science subjects, merit was earned on the basis of physics, chemistry, mathematics or physics, biology. Even now, their grades will be the basis of merit, but the student must score 30 percentage points in one of the 33 subjects listed.

For admission to the Bachelor of Arts, a candidate must appear on the entrance examination in one language from section one and three subjects from the other section. Merit is calculated based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the same subjects and language.
