CBSE: Results of Kovid-infected students are compiled based on Term-I

CBSE: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has shared the information for those students of the compartment survey. Who cannot appear in the second semester exams. The board has provided specific details regarding the Term II board exam result, eligibility for the compartment exam and how to proceed if a student is currently infected with COVID.

According to the Times of India report, CBSE’s Examination Comptroller Sanyam Bhardwaj said: “Term examination will be conducted, during this time if a student is found to be Kovid positive and cannot appear in class 10th-12th term 2 exam. In such case, it will the Board of Directors take into account their Term-I performance for the issuance of the final result.

He said this rule will apply to those students who may have to participate in sports tournaments at the national and international levels.

On the other hand, said Sanyam Bhardwaj, students can only appear in compartment examination if they are placed in compartment category. He further said: “For class X, the board allows students to appear in two subjects in the compartment examination. The board establishes an examination schedule with two subjects (odd) in which a student will reappear for the exam. These exams are administered in five to seven days.

Bhardwaj says, “For grade 12 students can take compartment exams in only one subject. So for grade 12 students, all compartment exams are taken in one day.”

He added: “If a student is not able to pass more than one subject in class 12 and more than 2 subjects in class 10, he/she cannot appear in the compartment exam. So he/she will sit in the main exam next year “Opportunity will only be given if an extended date list is prepared.”

It was also informed by him that the CBSE has made extensive arrangements to prevent the spread of COVID and thus the necessary resources have been given to the examination centers.
