CBSE Class 12 term-1 results, BSEB result, ICAI exams rescheduled and more: Top education news last week

One week after releasing the class 10 exam result, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has now also released the result for class 12 term-1 board exams on Saturday night.

CBSE released the term-1 class 12 exam results on Saturday night. The result was emailed directly to the schools. “Students’ performance in the first semester exams will be communicated to the schools,” CBSE said in an official statement on Saturday. The board only informs schools collectively about the theoretical performance of the students in class 12. “That is why the performance of individual students is not posted on the website,” according to CBSE.

Also, several students who appeared for the class 10 exams after the class 10 term-1 exam results claimed that the CBSE class 10 Odia question paper contained several errors and that these were not addressed in the answer key or during the declaration of results. As a result, the CBSE has set up a committee of experts to investigate the discrepancies mentioned by several students and others on social media. The committee re-checked the questions and answers, and a revised result from the disadvantaged students was then sent to their schools.

“Based on the report of the expert committee, the CBSE has evaluated the OMRs of Odia Class 10 with the correct answer key approved by the expert committee. The revised student performance has since been sent to the concerned schools for further information from the students. A total of 28,310 students have benefited from this revision,” the official statement reads.

On March 16, the Bihar Board Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) also announced the interim (class 12) results. This year, the pass rate has increased from 78.04 percent in 2021 from 78.04 percent to 80.15 percent. Sangam Raj of VM Inter College, Gopalganj and Shreya Kumari of UDM Girls Inter-School, Katihar have secured the top two of the art stream. Ankit Kumar Gupta of Patna has led the Commerce flow at 94.6 percent; Vinita Sinha and Piyush Kumar took second place in the Commerce stream. Saurav Kumar from Nawadah and Arjun Kumar from Aurangabad have been awarded first place in the Science stream.

In addition, IIT Kharagpur has also released the results of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022. The exam was conducted from February 5 to 13, 2022. IIT-Kharagpur will release the GATE 2022 scorecard on March 21.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has moved the exam dates for the CA Foundation May 2022 exams. According to the revised schedule, the exams will be held on June 24, 26, 28 and 30. Previously, the basic exams were scheduled on 23, 25, 27 and 29 May according to the new exam regulations. rescheduled due to clash with CBSE and CISCE exam datasheets.

The registration process for MHT CET 2022 has also started on the official website — cetcell.mahacet.org. Candidates have until April 7, 2022 for online registration and confirmation of the MAH-LLB CET 2022 application form for admission into the five-year Integrated Degree. Admission cards will be issued to successfully registered candidates on April 30, and the exam will take place on May 17 and 18.

Completing the choice for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Under Graduate (NEET UG 2021) also starts today from 3pm and lasts until 11:55pm tonight. Previously, the MCC had extended the registration deadline for the NEET-UG 2021 counseling clearing round. The registration and payment of the NEET mop round was supposed to close on March 14, but was later extended until March 16, 2022.

The application process for Foreign Medical Graduate Exam (FMGE) also began on March 15, 2022. The process will close at 11:55 PM on April 4, 2022.

Also, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) are organizing a national-level crossword competition for higher education students. This competition is held between March and August of the current year. This year, the National Inter-college Crossword Contest 2022 (NICE-22) will be held in a hybrid (offline-online) mode.
