Board exam 2022: Recognition of schools that copy in board exam will be canceled, ask for police protection

Mumbai: The government will take strict measures to stop exam fraud. The state school’s education minister, Varsha Gaikwad, said the Maharashtra administration has decided to cancel recognition of schools that fail in the 12th and 10th grade exams. It started from Paithan in Aurangabad. They will also never be allowed to take board exams again in the future.

On Wednesday, Congressional candidate Jayant Asagavkar raised the issue of copying by the school principal and staff at the Aurangabad school in the Legislative Council. Education Minister Gaikwad said in the House that on March 15, it was decided to revoke the recognition of Laxmibai Secondary and Higher Secondary School in Paithan tehsil of Aurangabad in case of copying in Marathi subject during the 10th exam.

He said that when the flight crew checked a student’s cellphone in the Kannada tehsil exam center of Aurangabad, it found the questionnaire in it, but the student came late to the exam center. The Education Minister went on to say that the paper went viral after the start of the Maharashtra Board’s 12th Mathematics and Numerology Exams in Shrigonda, Ahmednagar. He claimed that the questionnaire was not leaked anywhere in the 12th and 10th exams. Everywhere there has been an incident with question paper going viral after the start of the exam.

Education Minister Gaikwad said every school has become an exam center because of Corona and has therefore demanded the Ministry of Home Affairs to provide police protection at the exam centers. Home Secretary Dilip Walse-Patil has also given appropriate instructions regarding police security. In addition, the officials of the district administration have also been asked to visit the examination centers. The Maharashtra Board helpline number is provided by the Education Department, from where information related to the exam is received.

Students reach the center an hour earlier
Education Minister Gaikwad has called on the students appearing for the 12th and 10th exams to reach the exam centers one hour in advance. He said that if the exam starts at 10:30 AM, they better be at the exam center by 9:30 AM. He said that if a student is late to the exam centers for any reason, he will be thoroughly examined. Only then can he appear on the exam.
